Last Friday one third of Beastie Boys, Adam “MCA” Yauch passed away after suffering with cancer since 2009.
There have been a few salutes on the Twitter and the daily quote is dedicated to the Beasties this week, but we needed to get a post up to celebrate the life of an artist that in many ways helped to change the face of hip-hop in the 80′s and since.
The Beastie Boys showed hip-hop how to have some fun, and not take it too seriously. Commercially first seen as a one hit wonder, they went on to prove that wasn’t the case, with list of tracks that will forever remain hip-hop classics.
It was hard to choose just one track to pay tribute to one third of Beasties, but in the end it landed on Body Movin’. A hip-hop classic with a video that shows they didn’t take it all too serious.
